Terms & Conditions
Outlined below are the Terms and Conditions required for enrolment in a French language course at DFC. Please read them carefully and indicate your agreement on your enrolment form.
Enrolment and course confirmation
For group courses, the completed enrolment form and a 75€ deposit must be received at least 3 weeks before the course start date. Alternatively, full payment may be made at the time of enrolment. Confirmation of enrolment will be sent by email or post.
DFC aims to confirm whether a group course will proceed approximately 3 weeks before its scheduled start date. Courses are subject to minimum participant numbers.
If the minimum number of participants is not reached, DFC will contact enrolled students to discuss available alternatives. If no suitable alternative can be agreed upon, DFC will refund all payments made for the affected course.
Enrolments received less than 3 weeks before the course start date may be accepted, subject to availability. In such cases, full payment is required at the time of booking.
Modification fees
Participants who modify their course or dates less than 2 weeks prior to the start of the course, or during their stay, will be liable for a supplementary 40€ administration fee.
Payment
For enrolments made at least three weeks before the course start date, the outstanding balance must be paid no later than 14 days before the course begins.

- Less than 1 week prior: 75€
DFC reserves the right to cancel a course that does not reach a sufficient number of participants. In such cases, if no compromise can be reached, DFC will reimburse the full amount of fees paid.
Without prior approval from DFC, participants who attend a course but do not complete it are not entitled to a refund of course fees.
Public holidays
When a course falls on a public holiday, classes will be rescheduled. Missing lessons are generally added to another lesson during the same week.
DFC school rules
- Lesson timetables: to ensure classes start on time and run smoothly, participants are expected to respect the timetable set by DFC.
- Classes missed due to non-attendance will not be rescheduled. Notice for non-attendance of a private class must be given at least 7 days in advance.
- We kindly ask participants to show respect and courtesy to others, foster a supportive atmosphere, and attend classes punctually.
Unavoidable circumstances
DFC makes every effort to ensure that each participant receives the courses booked. However, DFC cannot take responsibility for disruptions to courses or related services resulting from:
- Forces beyond its control (natural disasters, strikes, epidemics, extraordinary events)
- Participant actions (changes without notice or approval from DFC)
- Actions of a third party
Courses and services missed due to the above causes will not be recovered and no refund will be given.
Liability for students under 18
In the case of courses specifically designed for under 18 years old students:
- DFC cannot accept liability for accidents occurring off the school premises.
- DFC is only liable for actions or deeds of students under 18 while the school has a duty of care, in accordance with Article 1242, al.1 of the French Civil Code.
- If the student fails to attend lessons, DFC cannot accept liability for the student’s behaviour during that time.
- Parents or guardians are wholly responsible for their child at all times, except when DFC has a duty of care in accordance with Article 1242, al.4 of the French Civil Code.
Complaints
Any complaint regarding services supplied by DFC must be made in writing via email to: bonjour@dordognefrenchcourses.com. Complaints must be submitted within one week of the course ending.
